The stage drying method comprises two stages of mechanical drying, wherein the first stage of mechanical drying comprises steps as follows: harvested and separated seeds are dried by drying machines within 20 plus or minus 2 hours until the water content is 18% or lower, the seeds are removed from the drying machines and stored temporarily for 7 days or less, and the first stage of mechanical drying of the seeds is completed; or each batch of seeds in the field are harvested and dried on the basis until all the seeds in the field are harvested, and the first stage of mechanical drying of the seeds is completed; the second stage of mechanical drying comprises steps as follows: the seeds after the first stage of mechanical drying are introduced into or introduced in batches into the drying machines again and are dried until the moisture content is 12% plus or minus 0.5%, and the process is completed until all the seeds are dried.
