Category data processing method and apparatus

The application provides a category data processing method and apparatus. The method is applied to a website server. The website server is a random website server in a website cluster system. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring category data to be stored; sending the category data to a cluster storage system for storage; and when monitoring update of the category data in the cluster storage system, according to an update condition of the category data in the cluster storage system, updating the category stored in a local shared memory.
