Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for using a waste cathode carbon block of an aluminum cell for manufacturing a side carbon block, and belongs to the technical field of non-ferrous metallurgy environmental protection. The method comprises following steps: firstly, the waste cathode carbon block is selected and broken, and 50 mm to 70 mm particles are selected out; secondly, the particles are preheated; thirdly, asphalt is smashed and melted, according to the weight proportion, the preheated particles are added into the molten asphalt, and uniform stirring is carried out; fourthly, the uniformly-mixed materials are fully mixed and kneaded and then subject to machining molding; fifthly, the molded materials are roasted; and sixthly, the roasted materials are cooled, and the side carbon block is obtained. Through utilization of the waste cathode carbon block, the pollution of the waste cathode carbon block to the environment is avoided; the waste cathode carbon block can be turned into wealth, enterprise produc
