The invention relates to a passive double-frequency electronic label chip which comprises a low-frequency label circuit module, a high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency label circuit module, a detection module and a memory, wherein the low-frequency label circuit module and the high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency label circuit module are respectively connected with a low-frequency input port and a high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency input port, the low-frequency label circuit module and the high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency label circuit module are electrically and respectively connected with the memory to read data from or write data into the memory, and the detection module respectively detects the working states of the low-frequency label circuit module and the high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency label circuit module and control one of the low-frequency label circuit module and the high-frequency or ultrahigh-frequency label circuit module to read from or write into the memory according to the det
