The electric pressure cooker further comprises an axial locating device and a controlling mechanism; when the pot cover is opened, the axial locating device is used for limiting axial movement of the inner pot in the outer pot assembly; the controlling mechanism is used for controlling the axial locating device to remove limit on the inner pot.
