Refrigerator

A refrigerator (1) equipped with: a refrigeration compartment (4); a freezing compartment (3); a compressor (10) that operates a refrigeration cycle; an evaporator (7) that is connected to the compressor (10) and generates cold air; a blower (8) that transmits the cold air generated by the evaporator (7) to the refrigeration compartment (4) and the freezing compartment (3); a refrigeration compartment temperature detection unit (12); and an outside air temperature detection unit (11). When the temperature detected by the refrigeration compartment temperature detection unit (12) reaches a prescribed first upper limit temperature, the compressor (10) and the blower (8) are driven, thereby cooling the refrigeration compartment (4) and the freezing compartment (3) simultaneously, and when the detected temperature reaches a prescribed first lower limit temperature, the compressor (10) and the blower (8) are stopped. In a first cooling mode in which the outside air temperature is lower than a prescribed first switc
