Zusammenfassung:An on-deck system for non-destructively validating a machine part is provided. The machine part is configured for use with a dynamoelectric machine or a turbomachine. The system includes a portable and hand-held infrared transceiver configured to emit and receive infrared light, and a bandpass filter configured to filter the infrared light. A crystal probe is configured to contact the machine part, and one or more mirrors are configured to direct the infrared light onto the crystal probe and subsequently back to the infrared transceiver/detector.
