The invention discloses a variant design method of meeting engineering constraint conditions. The method comprises the steps as follows: a parameterized three-dimensional model is built; a parameterized variant design user interface is developed; model data is imported into an Excel; parameters and an APDL command stream are compiled; CAD and CAE model parameters are input into the user interface; the data in the Excel and the APDL command stream are automatically read, modified and updated; variant design is carried out; a background starts CAE software to automatically read the data in the Excel table and the APDL command stream, to build a model, to parameterize CAE analysis and to output the result; whether the engineering constraints are met or not is judged; the parameters are automatically modified and analyzed until the result meets the engineering constraints; the result is automatically returned to CAD software to generate a new model; the final result is output; and a data file is stored.
