The roller comprises a pedestal, the pedestal is provided with a conveyor belt, an embossing roller, a smooth roller, a first transmission gear, a second transmission gear, a speed reducer and a variable frequency motor, the embossing roller and the smooth roller are respectively correspondingly connected with the first transmission gear and the second transmission gear, the speed reducer is connected with the variable frequency motor, the conveyer belt is arranged below the embossing roller and the smooth roller, the embossing roller comprises a roller with the surface provided with step-shaped projections, and the shape of the step-shaped projection is matched with the thickness of a damping pad to be produced.
