The invention provides a picking device for fruits with spines. The picking device comprises a power motor, a rising rod, a speed changing box, a fruit protection cover and a fruit cutter. The power motor is fixed at the uppermost end of the rising rod. The power motor is electrically connected with the speed changing box. The fruit protection cover and the fruit cutter are in the shape of gears. The gear teeth of the fruit protection cover are square in shape and the gear teeth of the fruit cutter are sharp edges. The lower portion of the rising rod is provided with a fruit bag.
