The invention provides an electronic device and a data processing method. The data processing method is used for a program with a user interface (UI). The data processing method comprises the steps that a UI thread reads to-be-processed UI data; the UI thread sends indication information to a data thread; after receiving the indication information, the data thread reads and processes original data corresponding to the to-be-processed UI data; and converting the to-be-processed original data into UI data for replacing the to-be-processed UI data in the UI thread, and updating the original data to be the processed original data. According to the electronic device and the data processing method provided by the invention, the response speed of the UI of the program can be increased. 本发明提供种电子设备及数据处理方法，所述数据处理方法用于具有用户界面的程序，包括：UI线程读取待处理UI数据；所述UI线程向所述数据线程发送指示信息；所述数据线程接收所述指示信息后，读取并处理与所述待处理UI数据对应的原始数据；以及将处理后的原始数据转换为UI数据，替换所述UI线程中的待处理UI数据，并将所述原始数据更新为处理后的原始数据。本发明提供的电子设备及数据处理方法能提高程序用户界面的响应速度。
