The mobile terminal includes a display unit to output a first screen and a second screen overlapping at least a portion the first screen as a higher screen than the first screen and a control unit to control transparency based on occurrence of a preset event of at least a first region of the first screen on which an object corresponding to the preset event is output or a second region of the second screen overlapping the first region according to a preset scheme.
