The density enhancer-added geopolymer-starch foam particle composite insulation material comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-30 parts of sodium hydroxide, 5-30 parts of water, 70-150 parts of water glass, 70-150 parts of kaolin, 5-15 parts of starch foam particles and 10-60 parts of density enhancer. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing metakaolin, preparing alkali exciting liquid, mixing the metakaolin and the alkali exciting liquid, adding starch foam particles and performing injection moulding.
