Provided is a mobile terminal, which solves the problem in the prior art of poor imaging definition of the mobile terminal caused by digital zoom, and solves the problem in the prior art of excessive thickness and weight of the mobile terminal caused by zooming with a structure of an optical lens and thus the portability of the mobile terminal becomes poor and the mobile terminal is easily damaged. According to the solution, a mobile terminal comprises a display screen and a periscopic optical zoom lens that are located on the housing of the terminal, the display screen and the periscopic optical zoom lens are not arranged in an overlapped manner in the thickness direction of the terminal, and the periscopic optical zoom lens is located in a top area of the housing of the terminal; the periscopic optical zoom lens is used for collecting an image in the form of optical signals by means of optical zoom, so that an optical-to-e
