Physical resource scheduling method and device

This invention provides a physical resource scheduling method, and is applied to a management server. The method comprises the following steps: sending a running request to a created virtual machine that is applied for running by a user; determining a resource pool to which a hosting server of the virtual machine belongs from a plurality of preset resource pools that include a specified amount of physical servers and corresponding physical resources thereof; checking whether an idle physical resource corresponding to the business that is to be run by virtual machine exists in the resource pool to which the hosting server belongs or not; if so, then determining whether the idle physical resource corresponding to the business exists in the hosting server or not; if so, then configuring the idle physical resource corresponding to the business to the virtual machine to run the virtual machine.
