The invention provides a knitting method of a weft knitted fabric. The knitting method comprises the steps that three yarns are fed to each way of a cam system, one yarn is used for knitting ground yarns, and the other two yarns are used for knitting face yarns. The invention further provides the weft knitted fabric knitted by means of the knitting method adopting the technical scheme. In the weft knitting process, the yarn feeding amount for each way of the cam system is increased, two yarns to be fed are changed into three yarns to be fed, one yarn is used for knitting the ground yarns, and the other two yarns are used for knitting the face yarns, the feeding proportion of the face yarns is improved, and the obtained weft knitted fabric is full in hair side, fluffy, smooth and soft in hand feel. The obtained weft knitted fabric knitted by means of the knitting method can be used for woolen blankets, towels and quilts, clothes and the like.
