The schizochytrium limacinum is preserved in CGMCC (China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center) of CCCCM (China Committee for Culture Collection of Microorganisms), the preservation date is October 22, 2015, and the preservation number is CGMCC No.11534. The schizochytrium limacinum disclosed by the invention has the characters of quick growing speed, high grease content and high DHA (Docosahexenoic Acid) content, and the characters are stable; the schizochytrium limacinum can be used for large-scale production of grease or DHA.
