The tappet includes an opening region in which it has a smaller cross-sectional area than the minimum cross-sectional area of the outlet opening, and a tappet head for the closure of the outlet opening, the tappet head having a cross-sectional area that includes the cross-sectional area of the outlet opening. Further, the fluid delivery device comprises a displacement device for moving the tappet between a closed position, in which the outlet opening is closed by the tappet, and an open position, in which the outlet opening is open for delivering fluid outward out of the fluid supply chamber.
