The method comprises: by using the function modules, the system providing a setting interface, inputting a preset e-mail address in the setting interface and selecting a preset application program; when the handheld electronic device enters a use mode from a standby mode, receiving a request of a user of the handheld electronic device to start the application program; when the started application program is not the preset application program, starting a front-facing camera to video a current image of the preset time; and starting network connection of the handheld electronic device and uploading the current image to the preset e-mail address.
