Spectrum demand calculation method and apparatus

The invention discloses a spectrum demand calculation method and apparatus which are applied to an international mobile telecommunications (IMT) system. The invention includes the steps of determining a spectrum prediction scene based on the current traffic density and prediction traffic density of each sub region in a coverage region of the IMT system; acquiring ultimate bearing capacity of each network on the spectrum prediction scene; obtaining the amount of resource consumption of each network based on the ultimate bearing capacity; and determining the total amount of spectrum demand according to the amount of resource consumption. The efficiency of spectrum demand calculation is improved through a scene screening mechanism provided by the scheme of the invention.
