Interference of cooling water flow speed fluctuation, mechanical vibration and the like of a lead screw circular truncated cone in a motor is eliminated through a worm wheel and worm self-locking principle. The electronic thermostat actuating mechanism comprises the motor, a first-stage transmission mechanism, a worm wheel and worm transmission mechanism, a bevel gear and the lead screw circular truncated cone. An output shaft of the motor is fixedly connected with a driving gear in the first-stage transmission mechanism. A driven gear in the first-stage transmission mechanism is connected with a worm in the worm wheel and worm transmission mechanism. A worm wheel in the worm wheel and worm transmission mechanism is connected with the bevel gear through a rotary shaft.
