The embodiment of the invention provides a determination method and apparatus for an acquisition footprint. The method comprises: an isochronal time slice of a target horizon is extracted from a three-dimensional data volume; an amplitude curve at a main measuring line direction and an amplitude curve at a connection measuring line direction are extracted respectively form the isochronal time slice; the amplitude curve at the main measuring line direction and the amplitude curve at the connection measuring line direction are processed; and according to a perpendicular offset and a receiving line distance of the target horizon as well as the processing result, distribution of acquisition footprints at the target horizon is determined.
