Road traffic coordination system and method based on coverage network

The invention provides a road traffic coordination system based on a coverage network. The system comprises a mobile terminal, a signal lamp control center, traffic signal lamps and an analysis center. A traffic policeman can control the traffic signal lamps of an intersection governed thereby by means of the mobile terminal; and besides, traffic control command information of the intersection governed by each traffic policeman is collected by the signal lamp control center, and after processing of the analysis center, a control strategy of each intersection is transmitted to the mobile terminals of other related intersections to allow traffic policemen of the other intersections to adjust traffic control instructions thereof.
