The invention provides an electric blower and an electric dust collector using the same. The electric blower comprises an air guide part (7), a shield (13) and a commutator, wherein the air guide part and the shield is arranged towards from a centrifugal fan side to an armature side in order, and the commutator is arranged between the air guide part and the armature. In addition, the electric blower also comprises an electric brush (15) abutted against the commutator, an electric brush tube for storing the electric brush (15), an electric brush retainer (17) arranged on the air guide part for storing the electric brush tube, and a shield bearing mechanism for bearing the shield (13). The wind from the centrifugal fan passes through the air guide part (7) and is provided near the abutment between the electric brush (15) and the commutator.
