This rice cooker is provided with: a first heating device, which has a heating coil and an inverter circuit; a second heating device, which has a resistance heater and a switching circuit; an electric current-detecting device, which detects the current value input to the inverter circuit; a control device for controlling the first and second heating devices; a calculating device for calculating the power consumption or the electric utility charges on the basis of the current value detected by the electric current-detecting device; and a display device, which displays the power consumption or electric utility charges calculated by the calculating means. The power consumption calculated by the calculating device is the value from adding the power consumption or electric utility charges consumed by the second heating device that correspond to the time that the second heating device was operated to the power consumption or electric utility charges for the first heating device.
