Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device and a method for removing chloride from a liquid sample. The device for moving chooride from the liquid sample in particular containing volatile organic compounds comprises: a reaction vessel for receiving the liquid sample with a gas inlet and a gas outlet; an adsorption vessel having a gas inlet and a gas outlet, said gas outlet of the reaction vessel being connectable to the gas inlet of the adsorption vessel, and wherein the gas outlet of the adsorption vessel is connectable to the gas inlet of the reaction vessel to form a gas circulation loop passing through the reaction vessel and the adsorption vessel in an extending manner; and a conveyor disposed within the gas circulation loop which is configured to transport gas through the gas circulation loop, and characterized in that the adsorption vessel comprises a molecular sieve.
