The embodiment of the invention provides an input method and device of text information. The method comprises the following steps: when a monitoring result shows that all current or parts of current text information which is displayed on a screen are deleted, determining first text information and second text information, wherein the first text information comprises key input strings corresponding to all text information which is displayed on the screen, all text information which is displayed on the screen, and backspace frequencies used by deletion, and the second text information comprises the text information which is input again after the first text information appears; on the basis of the first text information, calculating a selection probability that the second text information is selected to be displayed on the screen; and when the selection probability is greater than a preset probability threshold value, displaying the second text information on an appointed position. The embodiment of the invention can effectively lower a key pressing rate of a user, improve input efficiency, realize quick and convenient input, improve user experience and reduce system resource consumption.
