The invention relates to an operating device of a cooker and the cooker. The operating device has at least two gears. The operating device comprises a panel, a rotating shaft and a rotary knob. The panel is provided with at least two light-pervious gear marks. At least part of the rotating shaft is located on the inner side of the panel. At least part of the rotary knob is located on the outer side of the panel and used for driving the rotating shaft to rotate. The operating device further comprises a connecting piece located on the inner side of the panel, connected to the rotating shaft and driven by the rotating shaft to rotate when the rotating shaft rotates; and the connecting piece is provided with a light-emitting piece, and when the rotary knob rotates to one gear of the operating device, one gear mark on the panel is lighted up by the light-emitting piece. Thus, a user can visually and accurately acquire the power/firepower magnitude information of the cooker.
