The invention relates to detection devices of automobile tail gas, and provides an NO converting device for automobile tail gas detection. The device includes a preheating cylinder body, an insulating casing, a reaction room and an end cover, wherein the preheating cylinder body is arranged inside the insulating casing; the side surface of the preheating cylinder body is wrapped with an insulated cotton material, and insulation pads are arranged at the two ends of the preheating cylinder body respectively and are arranged for thermal insulation with the insulating casing; an air inlet and an air outlet are formed in one end part of the preheating cylinder body; the air inlet is connected with a preheating air channel; a mounting middle hole is further formed inside the preheating cylinder body; the reaction chamber is mounted inside the mounting middle hole; the reaction chamber is filled with a reduction catalyst; the air outlet of the reaction chamber is communicated with the air outlet of the preheating chamber, and the air inlet of the reaction chamber is communicated with the air inlet of the preheating air channel; the end cover is detachably arranged inside an end cover mounting hole; the outer end part of the reaction chamber is accommodated inside the end cover, and the end cover completely seas the outer end part of the reaction chamber. The device can be used for converting nitrogen dioxide into nitric oxide, realizes the detection synchronism, shortens the detection time and reduces the detection cost.
