Zusammenfassung:Provided are an alignment device, an alignment method, and a compound lens camera module, whereby it is possible to carry out alignment of a compound lens optical assembly and an image capture element in a short time and with high precision when fabricating the compound lens camera module. To align a compound lens optical assembly, wherein n single lens optical assemblies (where n is an integer greater than 2) are arranged two-dimensionally and formed integrally, with an image capture element comprising an image capture face including n regions wherein optical images are respectively formed by each single lens optical assembly, this alignment device positions the compound lens optical assembly in the z-axis direction of the image capture element, detects the amount of deviation between the compound lens optical assembly and the image capture element on the basis of image signals from 2 to n-1 regions of the n regions when image capturing a chart, and moves the compound lens optical assembly and the image capture element relative to each other on the basis of the degree of deviation.
