Zusammenfassung:[Problem] To provide a radial-inflow type axial turbine such that a decrease in turbine efficiency due to tip leakage can be suppressed and a turbocharger that is equipped with this axial turbine. [Solution] A radial-inflow type axial turbine is equipped with a housing (40) that has: a scroll section for causing a working fluid flowing in the housing to turn in the circumferential direction of a rotary shaft; and a bend section (52) which changes the flow of the working fluid travelling inward in the radial direction from the scroll section to a direction along the axial direction so as to guide the working fluid to rotor blades (30). The bent section has a bend-shaped tip-side inner wall surface (60) at least in an area farther upstream in the axial direction than a hub-side part (36H) of the front edge (36) of the rotor blades. The bend shape of the tip-side inner wall surface along the axial direction has a minimum curvature radius (Rmin) at a position (Xz) near the rotor blades and a curvature radius (R (>Rmin)) upstream of said position (Xz).
