The power failure detection and data storage circuit for the microcomputer system comprises a microprocessor (3), a clock circuit (1), a power failure detection circuit (2) and a ferroelectric memory (4), wherein the microprocessor (3) serves as a central processor of the microcomputer system; the clock circuit (1) is used for recording the time at the moment of system power failure; the ferroelectric memory FM22L16-55-TG serves as the ferroelectric memory (4) and is used for storing system data at the moment of system power failure; when the system power failure is detected by the power failure detection circuit (2), the system time and the system data are immediately stored in the memory. The circuit hardware is simple in structure and low in cost.
