Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a positioning apparatus for determining positions including: a distance acquisition unit configured to acquire pseudo-range information pieces indicating pseudo-ranges from the positioning apparatus to three positioning satellites; an altitude acquisition unit configured to acquire the altitude of the position of the positioning apparatus based on map information; a setting unit configured to set the altitude acquired by the altitude acquisition unit as a tentative altitude at the position of the positioning apparatus; and a positioning unit configured to perform a positioning process in a two-dimensional positioning method based on the pseudo-range information acquired by the distance acquisition unit, and the tentative altitude.
