Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a gas water heater and a control method thereof. The gas water heater comprises a shell, a heat exchange device, a liquid storage tank and a control device. The shell is provided with a raw water inlet and a hot water outlet. The heat exchange device is arranged in the shell and provided with a heat exchange water inlet and a heat exchange water outlet, and the heat exchange water inlet is connected with the raw water inlet. The liquid storage tank is arranged in the shell and provided with a liquid storage water inlet and a liquid storage water outlet. The liquid storage water inlet is connected with the heat exchange water outlet. The liquid storage water outlet is connected with the hot water outlet. The control device is arranged in the shell so as to control the heat exchange device. According to the gas water heater, the temperature of hot water flowing out of the hot water outlet can be stable, the phenomenon of sudden hot and cold is avoided, and the comfort level of a user is improved.
