The covering machine comprises a pre-covering machine connected with a driving rod through a connecting rod; a final covering connecting rod is arranged and connected with the driving rod; the driving rod is connected with a connecting block which is installed on a sliding block and does rectilinear motion on a linear guideway; and the connecting block is connected with a lead screw through a nut on a ball screw, and the ball screw is connected with a servo motor through a coupler. By means of the electric servo drive gusset covering machine, accurate covering of a car gusset rear wheel cover can be achieved on a welding line, the servo motor is adopted for driving, the controlling performance is better, and energy conservation and environmental protection are achieved; and a gusset assembly is placed on a clamp and is positioned and clamped through the clamp, a four-connecting-rod mechanism is driven by electric servo drive through a rectilinear motion structure, and pre-covering work and final covering work of gusset wheel covering turnup are achieved.
