The invention relates to a purification and rejuvenation method for a long-horn hot pepper variety. The purification and rejuvenation method comprises the following steps: A, selfing single long-horn hot pepper plants, and selecting two varieties with and without hairs on the stems; B, hybridizing the two varieties, thus obtaining seeds of the generation F1; C, selfing the single plants of the generation F1, and selecting twisted-stalk hot peppers as seeds of the generation F2; D, selfing the single plants of the generation F2, and selecting hot peppers of which the sizes of leaves above plant bifurcating are close to the sizes of leaves below the plant bifurcating as seeds of the generation F3; E, selfing the single plants of the generation F3, and selecting hot peppers with the corner plant bifurcating of 30 to 60 degrees as seeds of the generation F4; F, selfing the single plants of the generation F4, and selecting hot peppers of which the berries cannot be draped as seeds of the generation F5; G, selfing single plants of the generation F5, and selecting hot peppers of which branches above the bifurcating are highly lignified as seeds of the generation F6; H, continuously selfing single plants of the generation F6 for 3 to 4 generations, and purifying seeds of a parental inbred line. According to the purification and rejuvenation method, the single plants are selfed for observation; according to the advantages of different characters of the hot peppers, the long-horn hot pepper variety with high adverse resistance, high yield and stable character can be purified.
