Zusammenfassung: | A component feeding device uses any feeding means to feed a tape (component feeding tape) on which electronic components are stored and exposes the components. The component feeding tape is sometimes fed by fitting a sprocket into the feeding holes of the component feeding tape. The inventor of the present invention has found out that the sprocket is not necessarily fit into the feeding holes of the component feeding tape. More specifically, it is found out that this phenomenon occurs when at least two or more sprockets are driven by a drive means exemplified by a motor. If the sprockets are not fit into the feeding holes, the tape is not correctly fed, which gives undesirable effects, such as the reduction of mounting efficiency, on feeding of the components and subsequent mounting of the components. In a conventional technique, consideration of this point is not sufficient. One of the features of the present invention is that the backlash of a sprocket on the upstream side is set to be larger than the backlash of a sprocket on the downstream side. |
