Webpage browsing control method and electronic device

The present invention relates to the field of the Internet, and discloses a webpage browsing control method and an electronic device so as to solve the technical problem in the prior art of switching between a page where a search result is located and a skip page of a search record during browsing a webpage. The method is applied to the electronic device, and a search result obtained by performing a search based on a search engine is displayed on a display interface of the electronic device. The method comprises: determining whether a browsing operation exists for any one search record in the search result; and when the browsing operation exists for a first search record in the search result, covering the search result in a first display interface of the display interface by a skip page of the first search record. Since the search result cannot be shielded by the skip page of the first search record, the technical effect that the electronic device does not need to switch between the search result page and the skip page of the first search record during browsing the webpage is achieved.
