The active component of the colquhoumia root cataplasma is a water extract of a colquhoumia root core; and the active component of the colquhoumia root cataplasma is an extractum which is obtained by precipitating the water extract through 50%-60% alcohol and concentrating supernate. The colquhoumia root cataplasma provided by the invention has good activity in the aspect of treating the rheumatoid arthritis.
