INSPECTION OF ROD-SHAPED ARTICLES, IN PARTICULAR FILTER CIGARETTES

The invention relates to a drum system in tobacco processing industry. The invention includes a convey drum capable of rotating for conveying rod-shaped products. The convey drum has a row of continuously arranged recesses for receiving a row of rod-shaped products along the circumferential direction, or has two rows of parallel and continuously arranged recessess, each row of the recesses is configured for one row of rod-shaped products. The convey drum is configured that rod-shaped products continuouly arranged in one row or two parrel row in a transaxial direction is conveyed along the transaxial direction. A measuring device, relative to the recesses, is configured to have a through-passage of a single-side opening type for rod-shaped products. In the through-passage of the measuring device, when the section of rod-shaped products in the through-passage transverse the single-side open through-passage of the measuring device, the rod shaped products can be loaded or load by using the electromagnetic wave of the measuring field of the measuring device.
