Chipset with hard disk encryption function and host computer controller

The invention discloses a chipset and a host computer controller. The chipset comprises a memory device master controller and an encryption and decryption engine achieved by hardware, wherein the memory device master controller analyzes write instruction information from a received write instruction, and transfers the write data and the write instruction information to the encryption and decryption engine; and the encryption and decryption engine combines a hard disk key with the write instruction information, so that write data are encrypted; the encrypted write data are written into a memory device by the memory device master controller through a communication port.
