Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a vehicle existence detection apparatus and method. The apparatus comprises two Doppler microwave radar sensor modules, a terrestrial magnetic sensor and a processor. The two Doppler microwave radar sensor modules are installed in the form of an upright isosceles triangle in a back-to-back mode of forming a certain angle with the horizontal plane, and the terrestrial magnetic sensor works at an unattended mode for detecting a current magnetic field value intermittently and inputting a detection result into the processor. The method comprises: the processor compares the magnetic field value detected by the terrestrial magnetic sensor with a background value to determine whether vehicle disturbance exits, in case that the vehicle disturbance exists, the processor controls the two Doppler microwave radar sensor modules to perform detection, and the processor determines vehicle existence information according to a precedence relation between the time when a vehicle arrives at or departs from two detection areas, detected by the two Doppler microwave radar sensor modules. According to the invention, the purpose of high-accuracy detection is realized while low power consumption is satisfied. |
