Zusammenfassung:	The invention belongs to the technical field of preparation of polyether glycol, and particularly relates to a method for preparing polyether glycol with methanol as initiator. The method includes the steps that methanol, sodium methylate and oxirane are subjected to ring opening polymerization to prepare an intermedium with the hydroxyl value of 190-210 mgKOH/g, and the intermedium reacts with a mixture of oxirane and epoxypropane at the presence of a basic catalyst to prepare polyether glycol. Methanol is used as the initiator for preparing polyether glycol, polyurethane foaming plastic prepared from polyether glycol is excellent in flexibility and has an excellent application effect, a high compressive depressing ratio and a high rebound rate, and the application range and field of the polyurethane foaming plastic are broadened.
