Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a power transmission line fault location method based on line parameters, and belongs to the technical field of high-voltage power transmission. According to the fault location method of the invention, fault location is conducted based on the electric parameters of a single side or double sides of a power transmission line, a 'cable-overhead-cable' hybrid segmented line parameter model is used in fault location, the 'cable-overhead-cable' hybrid segmented line parameter model divides the transmission line into a cable segment L1 and a cable segment L2 at the two ends and an overhead line segment L3 in the middle, and L1, L2 and L3 are of lengths of corresponding segmented lines. The invention further discloses a fault location module of a relay protection device. Fault location error caused by line parameter asymmetry can be effectively eliminated. After the method is applied to the relay protection device, the sensitivity and reliability of the relay protection device can be improved. A faulty site can be located accurately, and the workload of the transmission line maintenance staff can be reduced.
