Reverse maintenance method and equipment

The invention discloses a maintenance method and equipment. The method comprises steps that, a data message sent by a terminal is received by a base station; whether the data message is a reverse maintenance data message is determined by the base station; if the data message is determined to be the reverse maintenance data message, the terminal sent the data message is marked by the base station as a reverse maintenance terminal, and maintenance is accomplished based on the data message; whether the data message is a maintenance data message is identified, when the data message is determined to be the maintenance data message, the terminal sent the data message is determined to be the reverse maintenance terminal, so a special-purpose OM channel is not needed, maintenance can be accomplished only through a general business channel, operation terminals can be identified by the base station without the need for configuring identification for each operation maintenance terminal, and near-end maintenance for the base station can be realized without the need for entering a machine room.
