The invention discloses a novel maintenance-free rigid suspension needle type porcelain composite insulator. The insulator comprises an upper metal part, a lower metal part, a porcelain part and a silicon rubber case, wherein the upper metal part, the lower metal part and the porcelain part are bound into a whole, the silicon rubber case is used for increasing the creep distance, the silicon rubber case is arranged on the local outer surface of the upper metal part or the local outer surface of the porcelain part in a sleeving mode by way of chilling shrinkage or arranged at the interface position of the upper metal part and the porcelain part in a sleeving mode by way of chilling shrinkage, and the upper metal part and the porcelain part are obtained after the binding is completed. Through the arrangement, the novel maintenance-free rigid suspension needle type porcelain composite insulator has the advantages of being longer in service life, lower in cost, free of maintenance and safer and more reliable to use.
