The data processing method comprises: after obtaining edited data, determining a current processing time of a second electronic device, using the current processing time as the effective time of the data, namely, recording the corresponding effective time of the data after the data are edited, and compared with using the sending time as the effective time of the data, the accuracy of the effective time of the data is improved. Moreover, the current processing time of the second electronic device is only in a read-only mode, so that a user cannot modify the processing time through a first electronic device, in this way, the finally obtained effective time of the data is the actual edition completion time of the data, and thus the accuracy of the effective time of the data is improved.
