The invention discloses a transverse orthoterion. The transverse orthoterion comprises a mounting rod, positioning holes penetrating the mounting rod transversely and longitudinal through holes communicated with the positioning holes on the same sides longitudinally and perpendicularly are formed in the upper and lower ends of the mounting rod, a transverse-pulling adjusting screw is arranged in each positioning hole penetratingly and movably, an adjusting nut is arranged on each transverse-pulling adjusting screw and is positioned in the longitudinal through hole on the same side exactly, an axial mounting hole is formed in one end of each transverse-pulling adjusting screw, a transverse-pulling spicule is arranged in each axial mounting hole, the portion, on the periphery of each axial mounting hole, of the corresponding transverse-pulling adjusting screw is divided into at least two clamping jaws at intervals, a flanging projecting outwards is arranged at the outer end of each clamping jaw, a locknut is arranged on each transverse-pulling adjusting screw, the end face, close to the flanging, of each locknut is a curved surface recessing inwards gradually, and the clamping jaws close inwards gradually to clamp the transverse-pulling spicules when the locknuts are screwed up. The transverse orthoterion has the advantages of simple structure and convenience in operation.
