Microwave roasting equipment and method

The invention provides microwave roasting equipment and a microwave roasting method. The microwave roasting equipment comprises an oven, a microwave generator, an electric heater and a conveying mechanism for carrying roasted meat to move, wherein the conveying mechanism is provided with clamps for hanging the roasted meat; the conveying mechanism is arranged inside the oven; and the microwave generator and the electric heater are arranged inside the oven as well. By arranging the microwave generator and the electric heater inside the oven, the electric heater is used for keeping the interior of the oven at a relatively high temperature in an infrared heating mode before roasting and for pre-roasting the meat, and then the microwave generator and the electric heater are simultaneously used for conducting infrared heating and microwave heating on the meat, so that the meat is well heated within a short time and water loss in the meat is reduced to the greatest extent; and meanwhile, the surface of the roasted meat is continuously roasted by the electric heater to be crispy, so that the quality of the roasted meat is effectively improved, the roasting time is shortened, energy consumption is reduced and the roasting efficiency is improved.
