The method comprises: obtaining terminal deices in the local area network and a corresponding relationship of positions of the terminal devices in a building where the local area network is located; displaying the terminal deices in the local area network in a terminal layout of the building where the local area network is located according to the corresponding relationship, in order to form a visual management view; obtaining monitoring data of the local area network; and when finding a terminal device having a problem in the monitoring data of the local area network, displaying and outputting alarm information at a position corresponding to the terminal device having the problem in the management view. The visual management method and apparatus in the technical scheme are used for solving the problem in the prior art that even if detecting a terminal device having a problem, the specific position of the terminal device having the problem cannot be determined quickly and intuitively, and have the beneficial effects of simple operation, intuitive interface and low personnel cost.
